Matt is a New York-based instructor who has been making music since he was 5 years old. A veteran of the early-2000s downtown music scene, Matt enjoys teaching his students how to play guitar and bass as well as the fundamentals behind synthesizers and music theory. With a patient, hands-on approach, Matt is skilled in teaching students of all ages and abilities, with a focus on creativity, music theory, ear training, improvisation, and performance. As an active recording artist and songwriter, he brings real-world industry experience into lessons, helping students build confidence, technical proficiency, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
